Passers-by

Present ︎︎︎ Past

I try to capture the present time but the moment I capture it, it passes and becomes the past.

In project “People of My Age” I reflect on the past and how it has shaped individuals. When I walk around the city I attempt to answer the question “What is exactly the present time?”.

Why have I chosen to photograph these particular people? Perhaps because their exquisite presence reminds me of the past. They are young people who wear clothes from previous eras in which they were not necessarily born. I wonder, is the present a collage of fragments from the past?

I photograph passers-by weekly, sometimes monthly, when I have time in the present.

The titles indicate location and date, where and when I encountered the passers-by.
